Therapeutic Yoga Near Claremont

A Studio Built for How You Actually Feel

Therapeutic yoga near Claremont, CA means something specific at The Mind-Body Connection. It means small classes where the instructor knows your name, your patterns, and what you are working through. It means the practice is adapted to you, not the other way around. And it means you leave feeling different, not just stretched.

Our studio is in Upland, directly next door to Claremont. Students, faculty, staff, and residents from across the Claremont community make the short drive because what they find here is not available at a larger studio. The work is slower, more intentional, and grounded in a genuine understanding of how the body holds stress.

Every instructor at The Mind-Body Connection is trained in-house under our founder, a Certified Yoga Therapist. That training shapes everything from how we sequence a class to how we talk about what is happening in the room. We keep classes small by design because therapeutic yoga done well requires that kind of attention.

If you have tried yoga before and it did not stick, or if you are carrying stress that a regular gym class does not touch, this is worth a try. Several Claremont Colleges staff members are currently in our Healing Foundations program and have found it changed the way they relate to stress at work and at home.

Claremont Colleges Community

For Students and Employees of the Claremont Colleges

We believe the Claremont Colleges community deserves access to real therapeutic yoga. Whether you are a student at Pomona, Scripps, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, or Pitzer, or an employee of the consortium, we offer a discount on classes and memberships at The Mind-Body Connection.

College is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding seasons of a person's life. The stress does not stay in the mind. It lives in the body, in disrupted sleep, in tension that builds through a week of deadlines and shows up on the weekend. A consistent therapeutic yoga practice gives you something most stress management advice does not: a physical tool that works directly on the nervous system.

Bring your student or employee ID to your first class, or mention your affiliation when you book. We will take care of the rest.

Corporate & Institutional Wellness

Bring Yoga Therapy to Your Organization

Workplace stress is not a mindset problem. It lives in the body, in the breath, in the way people carry tension through a workday without realizing it. We have talked with organizations in the Claremont area about exactly this, and the conversation usually starts with the same question: how do we help people actually recover, not just cope?

The Mind-Body Connection offers on-site therapeutic yoga sessions, sound baths, and wellness expo participation for colleges, employers, and organizations throughout the Claremont area. Pomona College, Scripps College, Claremont McKenna, Harvey Mudd, Pitzer, and the broader Claremont Colleges consortium have all been part of our community. We bring the practice to you, or you come to us.

Healing Foundations

Our signature therapeutic membership program combines small-group sessions, breathwork, and a structured approach to stored stress that goes beyond what a single workshop can offer. Several Claremont Colleges staff members are currently enrolled and have described it as the first thing that has meaningfully shifted how they handle stress at work. If your organization is interested in a sustained wellness offering rather than a one-time event, this is worth a conversation.

Yes. Therapeutic yoga addresses how stress lives in the body, not just the mind. Chronic workplace stress tends to accumulate as physical tension and a nervous system that stays in a low-grade alert state long after the workday ends. Therapeutic yoga gives people practical tools to interrupt those patterns. Several Claremont Colleges staff members in the Healing Foundations program have described meaningful shifts in how they experience and recover from stress at work.
