Sound Baths

Sound Healing · Upland, CA

Crystal singing bowls. Pure resonance.
An hour of deep rest for your whole being.

♪ the bowls are singing…

What is a sound bath

You don't do anything.
That's the whole point.

A sound bath is a full-body listening experience. You lie down while crystal singing bowls fill the room with layered frequencies — tones that slow the nervous system, quiet the mind, and guide the body into a state of deep, effortless rest. No experience needed. No movement required. Just arrival.

Year-round ritual

Full Moon Sound Baths

Every full moon, all year long, we gather to release what the cycle is ready to carry away. Lie back beneath crystal bowls and gongs — on a mat or suspended in an aerial hammock — and let the lunar reset wash over you. This is our standing monthly ritual, not a one-time event.

Questions

Frequently asked

Most people describe a deep sense of stillness — somewhere between sleep and waking. You may feel tingling, warmth, or a sense of floating. Some people experience emotional release. Others simply rest more deeply than they have in years. There is no right way to receive it.

Sound works by shifting your nervous system from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. The vibrations of the crystal bowls entrain your brainwaves — slowing them from the busy beta state into the alpha and theta states associated with deep meditation and sleep. You don't have to do anything. The sound does the work.

Floor seating means you lie on a yoga mat in śavāsana — grounded, supported, and still. It's a beautiful way to receive the sound, and many people love it.

The aerial hammock is a silk fabric suspended from the ceiling. You are cocooned inside it, completely supported, with no points of pressure on your body. Most people describe it as feeling completely weightless — like floating. The fabric itself conducts the vibrations, so you feel the bowls resonating through the silk and into your whole body.

We are the only studio in the Inland Empire offering aerial hammock sound baths. Most people who try it never go back to the floor. If you're deciding between the two, the hammock is the full experience.

The hammock has a weight limit of 300 lbs.

Sound healing is based on the principle of resonance — the idea that vibration can influence other vibrating systems. Every cell and organ in your body vibrates at its own frequency. When exposed to the sustained tones of crystal singing bowls, your body begins to synchronize with those frequencies, a process called entrainment.

Research shows that frequencies between 40–150 Hz stimulate the vagus nerve — the body's primary regulator of stress, digestion, and emotional balance. The vibrations shift the brain from beta (active, stressed) into alpha and theta states, activating the parasympathetic nervous system. Stress hormones drop. The body begins to repair.

Over time, regular sessions can help rewire the body's automatic stress responses — not just in the moment, but lastingly.

Our sound baths are well within safe volume levels. Many pregnant women attend sound baths and find them deeply restorative. However, every pregnancy is different, and we recommend consulting your physician before attending — particularly in the first trimester or if you have any complications.

If you attend while pregnant, please let us know so we can make sure you're comfortable. Floor seating is generally more adaptable as pregnancy progresses. We do not place bowls directly on the body during our sessions.

The aerial hammock has a weight limit of 300 lbs. If you're close to or unsure about the limit, please reach out before booking and we'll help you find the right fit. Floor seating is always available and is a wonderful experience in its own right.

Sound baths are not recommended for people with metal implants (pins, screws, plates, or rods) in their body, as vibration can affect metal. If you have implanted medical devices, please consult your doctor before attending.

The aerial hammock has a weight limit of 300 lbs. If you have any concerns about whether the hammock is right for you, reach out before booking and we'll help you decide.

Wear something comfortable that you can fully relax in — loose layers work well as body temperature can drop during deep rest.

If you're using the aerial hammock, please remove dangling jewelry, watches, and earrings before getting into the fabric. Small stud earrings are fine. Avoid anything that could snag the silk.

You may leave early if needed, though we recommend staying for the full session — particularly the closing integration time, which is an important part of the experience. If you're unwell or need to step out, please exit quietly and with care for others in the room.

Doors open 30 minutes before the session begins. We recommend arriving early to settle in, choose your spot, and let the space do its work before the bowls even begin.

All sound bath bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you need to reschedule, changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please reach out as soon as possible if something comes up.

Looking for a private experience? We offer private sound bath sessions for individuals, couples, and groups. Perfect for birthdays, retreats, corporate wellness, or any occasion that calls for something extraordinary.
